Staffordshire pearlware lion on plinth figure
pre-Victorian, circa 1830. 13.5ins high, 9.1ins wide, 2.5ins depth. Staffordshire pearlware figure which features a rearing lion, stood on a plinth base. White and gilt version. Copper lustre embellishment.
Flatback, decorated only to the front.

Condition
Generally good.
Slight wear to nose.
KILN EFFECTS: flecks of stray coloured glaze to the lion
and base;
over glazed shrinkage lines to side of base;
some glaze accumulation.
RESTORATION: old restoration to re-glue lion's top half and retouch join;
old filled chip to mane.
