Victorian, circa 1860. 7.7ins high, 3.5ins wide, 2.4ins depth. Staffordshire figure which features a couple holding hands, seated on an oblong base. Multi-coloured with underglaze blue version.
Dull gilt base line and embellishment. Flatback, decorated mainly to the front.
Vent hole to the underside.

Condition
CONDITION: Good. Small chips to the shredded clay.
Slight rubbing to gilt.
KILN EFFECTS: kiln soot caught in the glaze to their chests, faces and the reverse;
flecks of stray coloured glaze and small shrinkage crack to his hat;
small firing pit to his jacket;
glaze run to the cobalt blue glaze.
RESTORATION. Retouched paint losses to their shoes, his hair and neck tie.
