Pair Staffordshire pugs with glass eyes
Victorian, circa 1900. Tallest is 11.8ins high, 9.8ins wide, 4.9ins depth. Pair of Staffordshire glass eyed figures which feature pugs, seated on a shaped base.
Brown and gilt version. Bright gilt base line and embellishment. Decorated 'in the round' - decoration to front and reverse.
Vent hole to the reverse.

Condition
CONDITION: Right facing: Good. No restoration. Crack to hind left leg at reverse.
Some rubbing to gilt.
A few scratches to dog's back, chest and hind left leg.
KILN EFFECTS: shrinkage crack to lower base edge below tail, and to both ears;
over glazed chip to lower base edge at side;
finger print to right ear;
kiln detritus caught in the glaze to left ear;
glaze miss to the mouth.
Left facing: Very good. No restoration. Some rubbing to gilt.
