Large Pair Bo'ness Staffordshire cats with glass eyes

Victorian, circa 1890. Tallest is 12.2ins high, 6.7ins wide, 7.9ins depth. Pair of Bo'ness Staffordshire figures which feature a cat with glass eyes,
seated directly on the ground, no base.



Tan and cream version. Bright gilt embellishment. Decorated 'in the round' - decoration to front and reverse.





Vent hole to the reverse.

CONDITION: Right facing: Good.

Rubbing to gilt.



Wear to the reverse and sides.







KILN EFFECTS: touch marks to the left ear,







left eye,



left paw and tail;





glaze run all over.







RESTORATION. Replacement glass eyes.

Some wear to the reverse.

small firing pits to the right front leg.
