Parr Staffordshire stag & doe spill vase

Victorian, circa 1860. 8.7ins high, 0.7ins wide, 4.7ins depth. Parr Factory Staffordshire spill vase which features a stag and doe, stood on a shaped base. Multi-coloured version. Dull gilt base line.







Decorated 'in the round' - decoration to front and reverse.

Condition

Good.

A few paint losses to ground.







Some rubbing to gilt.



KILN EFFECTS: flecks of stray coloured glaze to the stag and doe.





RESTORATION: Doe's left ear reglued and join retouched.





Stabilised and retouched hairlines to doe's right hind leg



and stag's right front leg.





Small filled chip to tip of stag's right antler.



Retouched paint losses to spill and branches;









remodelled left ear to stag.
