Staffordshire 'Wellington' titled figure

Victorian, circa 1860. 17.3ins high, 5.3ins wide, 3.9ins depth. Staffordshire figure with a military theme which features the Duke of Wellington, stood on a shaped base.
The piece is titled, 'Wellington' .



Multi-coloured with underglaze blue version. Dull gilt titles and embellishment.
Decorated 'in the round' - decoration to front and reverse.









Vent hole to the underside.

Condition

CONDITION: Generally good.

Slight rubbing to gilt.



KILN EFFECTS: notable crazing;





fleck of stray coloured glaze to his left knee.



RESTORATION. Stabilised and retouched cracks to underside



and one through title on front of base.



Mold lines to both arms,







right side including jacket and base, stabilised and retouched.





Large filled chip to left side of base.



Retouched flake to left hand



and paint losses to both shoes.
