Staffordshire black & white begging spaniel pitcher
Victorian, circa 1870. 11ins high, 4.7ins wide, 6.3ins depth. Staffordshire jug/pitcher which features a begging spaniel, stood directly on the ground, no base. Black and white version. Bright gilt embellishment.
Decorated 'in the round' - decoration to front and reverse.

Good.
Some small flakes to hat.
A few paint losses to hat
and left ear.
Slight rubbing to gilt.
KILN EFFECTS: firing hole to hat.
RESTORATION. Filled chips to rim.
Retouched paint loss to tail
and left ear.
