Victorian, circa 1860. 13.4ins high, 6.7ins wide, 3.5ins depth. Staffordshire figure with a maritime theme which features a sailor standing on a boat holding a flag, stood on an oblong base.
Multi-coloured version. Dull gilt base line and embellishment.
Decorated 'in the round' - decoration to front and reverse. Vent hole to the reverse.

Condition
CONDITION: Generally good.
A few paint losses to boat and flag pole.
A few abrasions to the reverse of the sailors hat.
Some rubbing to gilt.
KILN EFFECTS: kiln soot caught in the glaze to the sailor's nose
and top of boat;
craze lines to the sailor's neck and reverse of base;
glaze run to the boat;
flecks of stray coloured glaze to the reverse.
RESTORATION. Section of base reglued and join retouched.
