Staffordshire pointer spill vase
Victorian, circa 1860. 6.3ins high, 5.1ins wide, 2.4ins depth. Staffordshire spill vase which features a pointer, stood on a shaped base.
Multi-coloured version. Dull gilt base line and embellishment.
Decorated mainly to the front.

Condition
Good. No restoration.
A few paint losses to muzzle, ears and ground.
Slight rubbing to gilt.
KILN EFFECTS: overglazed flakes to the pointer's side;
piece of kiln detritus caught in the glaze to the hind left leg;
glaze miss to the lower base edge at reverse.
