Pair Staffordshire whippets
Victorian, circa 1860. Tallest is 6.4ins high, 5.3ins wide, 2ins depth. Pair of Staffordshire figures which feature a whippet, stood on a shaped base.
Flatback, decorated mainly to the front. Vent hole to the reverse.

Condition
Right facing: Good. A couple of small paint losses to the reverse and one to dog's right ear.
KILN EFFECTS: craze lines to the front and reverse;
glaze miss to the base at reverse.
RESTORATION: Retouched paint losses to dog's nose and eyes.
Left facing: Generally good. Tight hairline to left hind ankle.
KILN EFFECTS: craze lines to the reverse.
RESTORATION: Head reglued and join retouched.
Stabilised and retouched crack to the underside.
Stabilised and retouched hairline to dog's front left leg.
