Victorian, circa 1880. 5.5ins high, 7.5ins wide, 5.7ins depth. Staffordshire figure which features an elephant, stood on an oval base. Black version. Decorated 'in the round' - decoration to front and reverse.
Vent hole to the underside. Maker's marks painted to the underside.

Generally good.
Small flake to rump
and right front leg.
Slight wear and scratching to the elephant.
KILN EFFECTS: notable crazing to base and a few lines to the elephant;
a glaze miss to the elephant waist
and a few to the lower base edge;
flecks of stray coloured glaze to the base rim.
RESTORATION. Retouched paint losses to the green ground.
