Victorian, circa 1860. 6.7ins high, 5.5ins wide, 2.8ins depth.

Staffordshire figure which features a spaniel and pup, seated on an oblong base.

Russet and white version. Dull gilt embellishment.

Decorated mainly to the front.

Vent hole to the underside.

Book reference not found.

Condition

Good. Two small chips to lower base edge.

Small flake to the pup's left ear.

A few paint losses to the pup's markings.

Some rubbing to gilt.

KILN EFFECTS: flecks of stray cobalt glaze to the front and reverse.

RESTORATION. Retouched paint losses to dog's eyes and nose.
