Staffordshire model of 'Palmers House'
Victorian, circa 1860. 7.1ins high, 7.1ins wide, 3.1ins depth.
Staffordshire model which features Palmers House, stood on a shaped base. The piece is titled, 'PALMERS HOUSE' .
Multi-coloured with underglaze blue version. Dull gilt titles and embellishment. Decorated mainly to the front. Vent hole to the underside.
This piece represents the house of William Palmer, a surgeon who poisoned his wife, brother and friend and was hanged for his crimes in 1856.

Condition
CONDITION: Generally good. Two chips to the roof edge.
Slight rubbing to gilt.
KILN EFFECTS: a few specks of kiln detritus caught in the glaze to the front;
small firing pits to front and reverse.
RESTORATION: One chimney remodelled.
Retouched paint loss to the ground, window frames and sills and front door.
