Staffordshire castle watch holder

Victorian, circa 1860. 10.6ins high, 7.9ins wide, 2.6ins depth. Staffordshire watch holder which features a castle, stood on an oblong base.

Multi-coloured version. Dull gilt base line and embellishment.

Flatback, decorated only to the front.

Condition

CONDITION: Good. No restoration.

Two hairlines, one to rim of watch holder at reverse

and one to the tallest turret at reverse.

A few small flakes to the shredded clay decoration.

Some rubbing to gilt.

KILN EFFECTS: notable crazing;

staining to the front and the reverse.
