Staffordshire Wellington figure
Victorian, circa 1860. 12.8ins high, 5.5ins wide, 3ins depth. Staffordshire figure with a political theme which features the Duke of Wellington, stood on a shaped base. Dull gilt base line and embellishment.
Decorated 'in the round' - decoration to front and reverse. Vent hole to the reverse.
Maker's marks painted to the underside.

Condition
Good. Very slight rubbing to gilt.
Slight wear to his nose,
lower base edge and top of base.
KILN EFFECTS: touch marks to the reverse of the draped cloak;
the black glaze has discoloured over time.
RESTORATION. Retouched paint losses to his jacket,
shoes
and neck tie.
