Staffordshire Pearlware 'Flora' figure

pre-Victorian, circa 1820. 10.2ins high, 3.5ins wide, 3.5ins depth. Staffordshire pearlware figure with a classical theme which features Flora holding a cornucopia full of fruit, stood on a square base. Painted base line.







Decorated 'in the round' - decoration to front and reverse.



Vent hole to the underside.

Condition

Generally good. Some small flakes around the upper and lower base edge.









KILN EFFECTS: touch mark to skirt and hem of sash;



over glazed shrinkage crack to bottom of cornucopia.



RESTORATION: filled and re-touched chips and flakes to base









and hem of sash;





retouched flake to nose and headdress.



Cornucopia reglued and join retouched.









Stabilised and retouched crack to neck.
