Pair Staffordshire Disraeli whippets
Victorian, circa 1860. Tallest is 10.6ins high, 8.3ins wide, 3.5ins depth.
Pair of Staffordshire figures which feature Disraeli whippets each with a hare, stood on an oblong base.
White ground version. Dull gilt 'dash-dot-dash' base line.
Decorated 'in the round' - decoration to front and reverse.
Vent hole to the underside.

Condition
Right facing: Good. Slight rubbing to gilt.
KILN EFFECTS: flecks of stray coloured glaze to the base;
shrinkage lines to front and sides of the base.
RESTORATION. Stabilised and retouched hairline to the right front leg.
Both ears remodelled.
Retouched paint losses to hare and whippet's markings.
Left facing: Good. Slight wear to whippet's back.
KILN EFFECTS: some slightly stained crazing;
piece of kiln detritus to the front of the base.
RESTORATION. Stabilised and retouched crack to right hind ankle.
Both ears remodelled.
