Victorian, circa 1860. 11ins high, 4.3ins wide, 6.3ins depth.
Staffordshire jug/pitcher which features a begging spaniel modelled with tricorn hat and floral decoration, seated directly on the ground, no base. Black and white version.
Bright gilt embellishment. Decorated 'in the round' - decoration to front and reverse.

CONDITION: Generally good. Slight rubbing to gilt.
KILN EFFECTS: thin, uneven and faded glaze application to the black glaze;
over glazed shrinkage line to the handle.
RESTORATION: Stabilised and retouched hairline to rim.
