Pair Staffordshire leg-free pugs

Victorian, circa 1880. Tallest is 11.2ins high, 5.1ins wide, 7.1ins depth. Pair of Staffordshire figures which feature a pug, seated directly on the ground, no base. Bright gilt embellishment.










Decorated 'in the round' - decoration to front and reverse.



Vent hole to the underside.

A few paint losses to paws and right eye.







Some rubbing to gilt.



KILN EFFECTS: craze lines along the mold joins.







RESTORATION: Retouched flake to muzzle.



Left front leg reglued and join retouched.
