Walton Staffordshire Pearlware ram & lamb spill vase

pre-Victorian, circa 1820. 7.3ins high, 5.9ins wide, 3.5ins depth. Walton Staffordshire pearlware bocage spill vase with a pastoral theme which features a ram and lamb in front
of a flowering tree, stood on a shaped base.



Multi-coloured version.





Decorated 'in the round' - decoration to front and reverse.





Maker's marks Walton molded ribbon mark.

Condition

CONDITION: Generally good.

Large chip to one leaf at reverse and front.





Some small flakes to leaves





and lamb's right ear.



A few paint losses to the ground.







KILN EFFECTS: touch mark to the front of the base.



RESTORATION: Filled chips to bocage leaves (80% remains original)











and ram's nose.
