Walton Staffordshire hunter with dog figure

pre-Victorian, circa 1820. 7.5ins high, 3.3ins wide, 3.3ins depth. Walton Staffordshire pearlware figures with a hunting theme which features
a hunter holding a gun and his pointer dog at his side, stood on a circular base.



Multi-coloured version. Decorated 'in the round' - decoration to front and reverse.







Open bottomed.



Maker's marks Walton molded ribbon mark.

CONDITION: Fair.

Small flake to his water bottle,



dog's muzzle,



leg and ear,





hat,



trousers



and Walton ribbon.



RESTORATION: Remodelled right arm.





Stabilised and retouched cracks to base.











Bocage missing, remodelled branch ends.
