Pair Staffordshire sheep spill vases
Victorian, circa 1860. Tallest is 5.1ins high, 4.3ins wide, 2.8ins depth.
Pair of Parr Factory Staffordshire spill vases which feature a ram and ewe in front of a tree stump, stood on an oval base.
Multi-coloured version. Dull gilt embellishment.
Decorated 'in the round' - decoration to front and reverse.

Condition
Right facing: Good. A few paint losses to ground and tree stump.
Slight rubbing to gilt.
KILN EFFECTS: stray coloured glaze to ewe's stomach;
granulated glaze miss to ewe's back.
RESTORATION: filled chip to spill rim.
Left facing: Good. A few paint losses to ground and tree stump.
KILN EFFECTS: over glazed chip to the right ear;
touch mark to the ram's lower back.
RESTORATION: filled chip to spill rim.
