Staffordshire couple with dog&bird arbour group
Victorian, circa 1860. 7.9ins high, 4.7ins wide, 2.4ins depth. Staffordshire group which features a couple, with the girl holding a bird and the boy with a dog by his side, seated on an oval base.
Multi-coloured with underglaze blue version.
Dull gilt base line and embellishment.
Flatback, decorated mainly to the front.
Vent hole to the underside.
Book reference not found.
Condition
CONDITION: Good.
A few paint losses to flowers,
bird
and girl's left eye and hat.
Slight rubbing to gilt.
RESTORATION: Filled chip to his nose.
Retouched flake to bird's tail feathers.
Retouched paint loss to dog's markings
and ears both the boy and girl's hair and shoes.
