Small Pair Staffordshire russet spaniels
Victorian, circa 1860. Tallest is 6.3ins high, 4.1ins wide, 3.1ins depth.
Pair of Staffordshire figures which feature a spaniel, seated directly on the ground, no base.
Russet and white version. Dull gilt collar and locket.
Decorated 'in the round' - decoration to front and reverse.

Condition
Right facing: Good. Slight rubbing to gilt.
Slight wear to the reverse.
KILN EFFECTS: firing cracks to the tail;
firing hole to right rear leg.
RESTORATION: Filled chip to underside.
Retouched paint losses to chest, left ear and lower lip.
Left facing: Good. Slight rubbing to gilt.
KILN EFFECTS: shallow firing cracks to front legs;
touch mark to the left hind leg.
RESTORATION: Retouched paint losses ears, chest, lower lip and tail.
