Pair Staffordshire ram & ewe spill vases
Victorian, circa 1860. Tallest is 5.1ins high, 3.5ins wide, 2.6ins depth.
Pair of Staffordshire porcellaneous spill vases with a pastoral theme which feature a ram and ewe, stood on an oval base.
White and gilt version. Dull gilt base line and embellishment. Flatback, decorated only to the front.

Condition
CONDITION: Ewe: Good. Very slight rubbing to gilt.
KILN EFFECTS: flecks of stray coloured glaze to the front and reverse;
tiny over glazed chip to the front lower base edge;
shrinkage crack to the spill interior and side of base.
RESTORATION: Both branches to right side reglued and join retouched.
Remodeled lower branch to left side.
Ram: Very good. No restoration. Slight rubbing to gilt.
KILN EFFECTS: a few shrinkage cracks to the shredded clay;
shrinkage line to right side of spill.
