Pair Kent Staffordshire hunter & huntress

Victorian, circa 1900. Tallest is 7.3ins high, 3.1ins wide, 2.6ins depth.





Pair of Kent Staffordshire figures with a hunting theme which feature a hunter with a dog and huntress with a goat, stood on a circular base. Multi-coloured version.





Bright gilt base line and embellishment. Decorated 'in the round' - decoration to front and reverse. Vent hole to the underside.

Condition

CONDITION: Male: Generally good. Some rubbing to gilt.





KILN EFFECTS: notable crazing;





shrinkage cracks to his neck and to ground;







small firing pit to his right arm;



kiln soot caught in the glaze to the his face.



RESTORATION: His left hand has been remodelled.



Female: Generally good. No restoration. Some rubbing to gilt.



KILN EFFECTS: kiln soot caught in the glaze;





kiln detritus caught in the glaze to the dog's mouth and her hat;





craze lines to the her skirt.
