Small Pair Staffordshire russet&white leg free spaniels
Victorian, circa 1860. Tallest is 5.1ins high, 3.7ins wide, 2.8ins depth. Pair of Staffordshire figures which feature a spaniel, front leg free, seated directly on the ground, no base. Russet and white version. Dull gilt embellishment.
Decorated 'in the round' - decoration to front and reverse. Vent hole to the reverse.

Right facing: Generally good.
A few paint losses to markings.
Slight rubbing to gilt;
piece of kiln detritus caught in the glaze between the front legs.
RESTORATION: Filled chip to right front paw.
Stabilised and retouched shrinkage line to spaniel's back.
Left facing: Generally good.
Slight rubbing to gilt.
KILN EFFECTS: over glazed shrinkage line to the reverse.
RESTORATION: Filled chip to tail
and to both front paws.
Retouched paint loss to markings.
