Staffordshire Pearlware Spring figure
pre-Victorian, circa 1820. 10ins high, 4.3ins wide, 3.5ins depth.
Staffordshire pearlware figure which features a lady wrapped in a shawl, holding a cornucopia of flowers, stood on a square base.
Multi-coloured version. Painted base line.
Decorated 'in the round' - decoration to front and reverse.
Vent holes to the underside.
This piece represents Spring, one of a group of four figures representing the seasons.

Condition
Good. Small flake to cornucopia to reverse.
A few paint losses to ground.
KILN EFFECTS: shrinkage line down her left side and to lower part of right side.
RESTORATION: Filled chips and retouched flakes to base,
hair,
cornucopia and shawl.
