Wood Staffordshire Pearlware 'Rural Pastime' group
pre-Victorian, circa 1820. 7.9ins high, 4.9ins wide, 3.7ins depth. Ralph Wood Staffordshire pearlware bocage group with a musical theme
which features couple next to a stream reading and playing music, seated on a square base.
Multi-coloured version. Decorated 'in the round' - decoration to front and reverse.
Vent hole to the underside.

Condition
CONDITION: Generally good. Chipped and missing leaves to bocage.
Small flake to his left shoe and base.
KILN EFFECTS: flecks of stray coloured glaze to his face;
craze lines to her bonnet.
RESTORATION: Retouched chipped leaves to the front of the bocage (70% original bocage remains).
Filled chip to his left knee.
His right arm, hand and stick remodelled.
Stabilised and retouched hairline to the top of the base.
