Pair Staffordshire gilt & white 'chunky' spaniels
Victorian, circa 1880. Tallest is 12.4ins high, 9.3ins wide, 5.7ins depth.
Pair of Staffordshire figures which feature a spaniel, seated directly on the ground, no base. White and gilt version. Bright gilt embellishment.
Decorated 'in the round' - decoration to front and reverse. Vent hole to the underside.

Condition
CONDITION: Right facing: Good. No restoration. Small flake to collar and behind right ear.
Some rubbing to gilt.
KILN EFFECTS: notable crazing;
over glazed bruises to the reverse of the left ear.
Left facing: Good. No restoration. Some rubbing to gilt.
KILN EFFECTS: notable crazing;
touch mark to the top of the left ear;
small firing pits to right ear;
shrinkage line along the mold join to chest, ears, head and back.
