Pair Staffordshire King Edward & Queen Alexandra figs
Victorian, circa 1900. Tallest is 14.2ins high, 5.9ins wide, 4.3ins depth.
Pair of Kent Staffordshire figures with a royalty theme which feature King Edward VII and Queen Alexandra, stood on a square base.
The pieces are titled, 'KING EDWARD VII' & 'QUEEN ALEXANDRA' to the fronts. Multi-coloured version.
Bright gilt title and embellishment. Decorated mainly to the front.
Vent holes to reverse and underside.

Condition
King Edward VII: Good. A few paint losses to red on bow, sword and shirt.
Some rubbing to gilt.
KILN EFFECTS: notable crazing;
kiln detritus caught in the glaze to the reverse.
RESTORATION. His left shoe, red jacket,
epaulettes, sword and gilt have been retouched.
Queen Alexandra: Good. A few paint losses to red sash.
Some rubbing to gilt.
KILN EFFECTS: kiln soot caught in the glaze to the base;
small firing pits to the front and reverse.
RESTORATION. Red sash, crown and gilt has been retouched.
