Pair Staffordshire foxhound spill vases
Victorian, circa 1860. Tallest is 8.9ins high, 7.3ins wide, 3ins depth. Pair of Staffordshire spill vases with a hunting theme which feature a foxhound, stood on a shaped base.
Russet and white version. Dull gilt base line and embellishment.
Flatback, decorated mainly to the front.

Condition
CONDITION: Right facing: Generally good.
Very slight rubbing to gilt.
KILN EFFECTS: notable crazing;
flecks of stray coloured glaze to the base.
RESTORATION: Remodelled tail
and lower part of right hind leg.
Retouched shrinkage crack around spill and branch.
Retouching to shredded clay
and paintloss to muzzle.
Filled chip to top spill.
Left facing: Generally good.
Some rubbing to gilt.

RESTORATION: Remodelled small branch,
tail and lower part of left hind leg.
Filled chip to spill base at the reverse.
Retouching to shredded clay
and russet marking on front right leg.
