Fixed to board with brown paper backing.
The sampler is worked in silk on linen ground.
Meandering strawberry border.
Colours black, yellow, green, light brown, pink, white and red.

Verse entitled 'ECCESIAS' reads

A good set of motifs, some finely detailed, including a boy stood under an arch,
angels,
dogs,
potted flowering plants,
a bird,
crown
and a fir tree.
CONDITION: Generally Good. One hole to the verse.
No stains other than uniform age darkening of the ground.
No stitch losses, a few loose threads to the border.
Colours are slightly faded but still well defined.
Slight colour run around some of the black threads.
Unevenly stretched.
Frame showing wear and chips, but structurally sound.
