Framed in an old wood frame with gilt slip and glass.
Mounted to conservator standards on acid free card with fabric covered board backing.
The sampler is worked in silk on linen ground, in a variety of stitches including Algerian eye.
No border, divider lines in various patterns.
Colours greens, cream, yellow, light brown, pinks and blues. Alphabets A-Z in upper case and numbers 1-15.

An elaborately worked floral and foliate band.
CONDITION: Generally good. A number of small holes.
A couple of stain specks and some patchy staining.
Very minor stitch loss to the floral band and holed areas only.
Colours are mostly good and strong with no noticeable fading. The silks bright and glossy. No colour run.
Stretching is very slightly uneven.
Frame in very good condition, ready to hang.
