French Majolica Palissy fish vase

Victorian, circa 1890. 10.2ins high, 5.1ins wide, 5.1ins depth. French Palissy Majolica vase which features a fish leaping out of the water.





Colouration: grey, cream, green, are predominant.

CONDITION: Good. Small chip to foot rim.



KILN EFFECTS: shrinkage cracks to the base, leaves and lips.















RESTORATION: Filled chip and retouched flakes to tail, fin, mouth and one leaf.















Stabilised and retouched hairline to one other leaf.
