Wedgwood Majolica reticulated pictorial plate

Victorian, circa 1871. 0.9ins high, 8.7ins wide, 8.7ins depth. Wedgwood Majolica which features cherubs playing with a dolphin.

Colouration: green, brown, ochre, are predominant.

The piece bears maker's marks for the Wedgwood pottery. Marks include a factory specific date cipher for the year 1871.

CONDITION: Very good. No restoration. Scratches from use.

Slight wear to the high points of the molding.

KILN EFFECTS: thin glaze application to the reverse.
