Small Minton Majolica frog on eggplant jug

Victorian, circa 1870. 4.3ins high, 3.1ins wide, 2.4ins depth. Minton Majolica jug/pitcher which features a frog seated on an eggplant.

Colouration: purple, green, ochre, are predominant.

The piece bears maker's marks for the Minton pottery. Bears a pattern number, '1588'.

Condition

CONDITION: Good. Small flake to foot rim.

KILN EFFECTS: bruise to the frog's top lip.

RESTORATION. Handle reglued and join retouched. Oversprayed to approximately 50% of handle in total.
