Pair Holdcroft fish & shell vases

Victorian, circa 1870. Tallest is 8ins high, 4.9ins wide, 3.3ins depth. Pair of Holdcroft Majolica vases which feature a dolphin supporting a shell in it's tail.





Colouration: brown, green, grey, are predominant.

Condition

CONDITION: Vase 1: Very good. No restoration. Some small flakes to the rim.



KILN EFFECTS: small firing pits to the dolphin and vase interior.







Vase 2: Very good. No restoration. Light scratches to base.



KILN EFFECTS: small firing pits to ground, dolphin and shell;











over glazed chips to the base.
