Victorian, circa 1890. 11ins high, 11ins wide, 3.9ins depth. Cunha Portuguese Palissy Majolica wall plate which features a terrapin, worms, a lizard, moths and a frog. Colouration: green, brown, cream, are predominant.
The piece bears maker's marks for the Cunha pottery.

CONDITION: Good. Some small flakes to shredded clay and frog's eye.
KILN EFFECTS: a few specks of kiln detritus caught in the glaze to the lizard.
RESTORATION: Terrapin's and worm's head reglued and joins retouched.
