Small Holdcroft Majolica rams head jardiniere & stand

Victorian, circa 1870. 5.5ins high, 7.5ins wide, 7.5ins depth. Holdcroft Majolica jardinière and stand which features ram's heads, flowers and wheat.



Colouration: cobalt blue, ochre, turquoise, are predominant.













The piece bears maker's marks for the Holdcroft pottery.

Condition

Jardiniere: Good. Chip to the interior base.



Wear to the high points of the molding.









KILN EFFECT: glaze run to the cobalt blue glaze.



RESTORATION: Stabilised and retouched hairline around foot rim exterior only.





Stand: Generally good. Scratches from use.



RESTORATION: Repainted flakes to centre and to blue border.
