Small Minton Majolica holly & misletoe Christmas pitcher

Victorian, circa 1867. 5.7ins high, 4.7ins wide, 3.9ins depth. Minton Majolica jug/pitcher which features holly and mistletoe with a branch handle. Colouration: cobalt blue, green, ochre, are predominant.







Bears a pattern number, '30 580'. Marks include a factory specific date cipher for the year 1867.

Generally good.

Small, shallow chip to top of branch handle.



KILN EFFECTS: over glazed shrinkage line to the rim;



a few specks of kiln detritus caught in the glaze to the exterior.



RESTORATION. Filled chips to spout





and foot rim.



Stabilised and retouched hairline to rim.
