French Majolica Palissy dolphin salt
Victorian, circa 1890. 4.1ins high, 3.8ins wide, 2.2ins depth. French Palissy Majolica salt which features a dolphin holding a shell with it's tail.
Colouration: blue, green, ochre, are predominant.

CONDITION: Good. A few small chips around the lower base edge.
Some small flakes to the upper base, dolphin and shell.
KILN EFFECTS: kiln detritus caught in the glaze to the dolphin and shell.
RESTORATION: retouched flakes to shell and underside base edge.
