Onnaing Majolica 'Drunken Army Reservist' pitcher
Victorian, circa 1900. 11ins high, 4.7ins wide, 6.3ins depth. Onnaing Majolica jug/pitcher which features a soldier sitting on a barrel, with the inscription 'VIVE LA REDUCTION DES PERIODES'.
Colouration: blue, pink, brown, are predominant
. The piece bears maker's marks for the Onnaing pottery. Bears a pattern number, '752'.

Condition
CONDITION: Good. No restoration. Very tight hairline to rim, not visible to exterior.
Slight wear to the rim, top of handle and exterior.
KILN EFFECTS: uneven glaze application to rim;
kiln grit caught in the glaze;
flecks of stray coloured glaze to his face and bag;
glaze run to the pink, blue and brown glazes.
