Small Majolica Palissy snake wall pocket

Victorian, circa 1890. 7.5ins high, 4.8ins wide, 2.2ins depth. Palissy Majolica wall pocket which features a snake coiled around a birds nest.

Colouration: green, brown, grey, are predominant.

CONDITION: Good.

KILN EFFECTS: a few specks of kiln detritus caught in the glaze to the nest and snake.

RESTORATION: filled chip and retouched flake to two leaf tips.
