Minton Majolica blue tit nut dish (Wilbraham tray)
Victorian, circa 1861. 3.5ins high, 4.3ins wide, 8.3ins depth. Minton Majolica dish which features a blue tit perched on a branch.
Colouration: green, blue, ochre, are predominant.
The piece bears maker's marks for the Minton pottery. Bears a pattern number, '1331'. Marks include a factory specific date cipher for the year 1861.

Condition
CONDITION: Good. Small flake to end of branch.
KILN EFFECTS: a few specks of kiln detritus caught in the glaze to the interior;
flecks of stray coloured glaze to the blue tit's chest.
RESTORATION: Tail reglued and join retouched.
