Victorian, circa 1870. 10.8ins high, 12.6ins wide, 11.8ins depth. Minton Majolica game pie dish which features pigeons.



Colouration: ochre, turquoise, white, are predominant.

CONDITION: Cover: Generally good.

KILN EFFECTS: flecks of stray coloured glaze to the pigeon.





RESTORATION: Section of lid reglued and joins retouched.











Section of flange remodelled.



Retouched flakes to tail feathers.



Dish: Good.

Some wear to the feet.











KILN EFFECTS: glaze run to the brown and ochre glazes;











thin glaze application to interior.





RESTORATION: Filled chip to one pigeon's beak.





Retouched flakes to acorn leaves.
