Rare Minton Majolica blackberry pot
Victorian, circa 1872. 3.3ins high, 4.1ins wide, 3.7ins depth. Minton Majolica pot which features blackberry fruits and leaves.
Colouration: cream, purple, green, are predominant.
The piece bears maker's marks for the Minton pottery. Marks include a factory specific date cipher for the year 1872.

Condition
CONDITION: Good. Some small flakes to basket weave and stems.
KILN EFFECTS: kiln grit caught in the glaze to interior and exterior;
staining to cream basketweave ground;
glaze run to purple glaze to rim;
over glazed shrinkage crack to one stem to rim.
RESTORATION: A small number of retouched flakes to leaves, stems and berries.
