George Jones Majolica Orchid Jug/Pitcher

Victorian, circa 1870. 6.2ins high, 6.3ins wide, 4.7ins depth. George Jones Majolica jug/pitcher which features white orchids.





Colouration: brown, green, turquoise, are predominant.





The piece bears maker's marks for the George Jones pottery. Bears a pattern number, '3439 80'.

Condition

CONDITION: Generally good. Some small flakes to flowers.







KILN EFFECTS: glaze run to the brown glaze.







RESTORATION: Spout reglued and join retouched.





Stabilised and retouched hairline to foot rim and one to the bottom of the handle.





Filled chips to rim and handle.
