Victorian, circa 1900. Tallest is 13ins high, 7.1ins wide, 3.9ins depth. Pair of Bretby Majolica wall pockets which feature a parrot or cockatoo perched on a branch.
Colouration: green, yellow, brown, are predominant.
The piece bears maker's marks for the Bretby pottery. Bears a pattern number, '1226'.

CONDITION: Wall pocket 1: Good. KILN EFFECTS: glaze run to the brown glaze;
glaze accumulation to the reverse;
kiln detritus caught in the glaze to both wings;
flecks of stray coloured glaze to the wings.
RESTORATION. Filled chip to right wing and hanging hole.
Wall pocket 2: Good. KILN EFFECTS: glaze run to the brown glaze;
kiln detritus caught in the glaze to the branch.
RESTORATION: Retouched bruise to the right wing and flake to the left wing.
Stabilised and retouched hairlines to the top of each wing.
