Holdcroft Majolica Blackberry Teapot, Creamer & Sugar
Victorian, circa 1870. 4.8ins high, 6.8ins wide, 4.1ins depth.
Holdcroft Majolica tea set which features blackberry fruits, leaves and blossom.
Colouration: brown, green, turquoise, are predominant.
The piece bears maker's marks for the Holdcroft pottery.

Condition
Teapot: Good. No restoration.
A small flake to stilt mark, and a bruise, both to the flange of the cover.
Small flake to branch to top of teapot.
Slight wear to top of handle.
KILN EFFECTS: kiln detritus caught in the glaze to the exterior;
glaze run to the green and white glazes.
Creamer: Good. No restoration.
KILN EFFECTS: a few glaze misses around some of the leaves;
slight kiln grit caught in the glaze to the interior.
Sugar: Generally good.
KILN EFFECTS: slight glaze miss next to one leaf.
RESTORATION: stabilised and retouched crack to one side;
filled chip to lower base edge.
